Article Marketing Strategies

Posted by | Posted in Networking | Posted on 25-08-2009

It really doesn’t matter whether you author the articles or you hire someone to author them. The goal of writing marketing articles is to engender hype about your goods, and to increase the volume or sales and subscriptions. It’s always safer and more reliable to have a steady, loyal client base than to cross your fingers and hope for enough new subscribers to turn a profit every time you release a product for sale. Article marketing is a great way to get that loyal foundation of customers and puts you at ease.

You’ve worked hard to build an audience of subscribers. Now you must focus on retaining them by keeping their interest. In general, subscribers will stay if you consistently give them good quality content on a regular basis, otherwise they will quickly lose interest and move on. You should maintain good customer relations by keeping things fresh. Consider offering something free that is available only to subscribers. You can introduce new offers and specials, provide updates about existing products, and also describe any changes that could affect them. Article marketing is a good way to accomplish these goals.

If you have already established a way to maintain a positive relationship with your customers, it does not exclude the need to generate new customers. Article marketing is also an excellent way of providing new customers or subscribers with a free gift or reward for subscribing to your web site or service. It lets them know that you value them as customers and want to reward them for supporting or patronizing your service, web site or products. Free articles are an excellent way to promote your brand and are extremely cost effective. Consistently offering free articles is a great way to promote your products while providing valuable information that is valuable to the reader.

Article Marketing For Plug In Profits Site Owners

Posted by | Posted in Networking | Posted on 25-08-2009

One major concern for Plug In Profits Site owners is how to generate traffic. As Stone Evans mentioned in his thirty days training guide, article marketing is the number 1 internet marketing strategy.

But what if you hate writing? Just the action of writing a word will cause you headache.

Well, I have good news for you.

If you really hate writing articles to the core, or you take several hours just to produce one article, you can always outsource it. This is a very important business concept that you should remember. If there is something that you can’t do or can’t do efficiently, you can always ask another person to do it.

There are always people out there who are more than willing to do what you are not willing to do. You can go to freelance sites like elance or RentACoder to get articles written for you. The price of each article will usually range from $2 to $20 a piece.

Take note that most of the time; you get what you pay for. So if you are paying $2 a piece, don’t expect too much. Usually, a more experienced writer will charge more per article. However, there is always exception. Some writers can produce wonderful content for a price of $7. Most probably, they are new. Therefore, they charge less.

There are two ways that can help you get a better deal. First, get more articles written. If you want 100 articles written instead of 10, you will usually be able to negotiate for a better price.

You can also mention that you are looking for a long term work relationship. Most writers are willing to charge less if they know they will have more assignments from you in the future. If you ever find a quality writer, grab hold of them. It will pay off in the long run.

Perhaps you have this question. “How can I ensure that I find a good writer?” Well, ask them for samples. Look at the articles that they have written before. It will help you in your decision. You should also look at their ratings. If most of the comments are positive, you should be safe.

Alternatively, you can “speak” your article. All you need is a microphone. The average people have a speaking rate of around 120 words per minute. So in 5 minutes, you will have a 600 words article. All you need to do is to do the transcription.

If you do not want to do the transcription yourself, you can always go to RentaCoder. You should be able to get each article transcript for around $3. Again, try to do it in bulk. If you are only transcribing one article, expect to pay more.

Article Marketing – How To Spread Your Message

Posted by | Posted in Networking | Posted on 25-08-2009

Article marketing usually generates very positive results. This is its main advantage, but it also has other positives attributes. For example, its use can contain costs and, in addition, it takes little effort to implement.

Articles make effective marketing tools because they allow you to convey the message that you want to send toward a larger number of readers. The Internet makes it possible to reach a very widely dispersed market efficiently, because its readers can seek out articles and products that they are interested in. Thus, articles allow you to sell your product or service to numerous potential clients effectively.

If you want to see the best results for your articles then it is important for them to be powerful and driven. Here are some of the best tips for making that article for your marketing the most effective it can be.

Your plan should begin with learning who your target audience is. Every online business must prepare to deal with their target audience. It is essential to know your target audience so that you can employ the most effective form of marketing you’ll need to reach them.

Your style of writing articles should be appropriate enough to suit the target audience; hence, you would do well to gather adequate information about the demographic profile of your potential clients. This information goes a long way in eliminating possible language and cultural barriers and helps generate the best sources.

Write the article to the best of your ability. It is to be noted that in article marketing, you are using the art of writing and the power of words to convey and channel ideas and concerns to your potential clients. If you are not adept at writing and putting your thoughts into the form of writing, then you are not in any way positioned to make use of this tool.

Are You Thinking of Giving Up?

Posted by | Posted in Networking | Posted on 25-08-2009

There comes a point in any business or venture when you come up against a brick wall. You feel you are doing everything you can, but you are not getting any results. You begin to ask yourself whether it’s all worth it and whether you should really be doing this at all. This is the point where many people give up.

We all have our own breaking points, but in the home business industry, there seems to be a two to three month point where many newbies get disillusioned and start to think about throwing in the towel.

The main reason for this is probably an overly high expectation of the speed of results. This is not necessarily the new business owner’s fault; many advertising campaigns imply (if not overtly, then covertly) that you can make money fast, just by signing up. While this may not be an exact lie (some programs do pay out quickly) this does not mean that you will make a profit, or become rich, very fast.

So, at the breaking point, the newbie begins to realise the reality of what they have entered into. It suddenly seems that they will NEVER become rich. They may feel overwhelmed at the amount of work that needs to be done in order to make the tiniest profit. Some may even blame the company they have joined (usually unfairly) and think they have been hoodwinked.

The truth of the matter is that two or three months is rarely enough time to start seeing the kind of results we all dream about. At this point, one is barely scratching the surface. And if you are a complete novice in network marketing, you will only have learned the very basics at this point.

In my (humble) opinion, the industry would see a higher percentage of successful entrepreneurs (though a lower sign-up rate) if they were more up-front in their marketing about what this business really involves. I, for one, would prefer to have a few successful downline members rather than a huge list of affiliates that do nothing or give up too soon.

However, we are all responsible for our actions, and if we are a victim of anything, it is usually our own high expectations. All this needs is a little adjustment in our thinking.

If you are one of those people who are thinking of giving up, here is my advice:

1. Don’t give up.

2. Accept that things usually take much longer than you expect. Decide on a time limit for your business by all means, but make it at least six months, preferably longer, and make a commitment to doing everything you can to make it work in that time.

3. Treat your business as a business, not as a hobby. If you do this in your spare time, then make sure you allocate several hours a week and that your family friends know you are working in this time.

4. Join several network marketing forums and ask for advice. Most people in these forums are very friendly and eager to help newbies as they have been there themselves.

5. Make a list of the things that you are avoiding doing and commit yourself to getting help with these. Most of us have weak areas of marketing (e.g. SEO, blogging etc) and these are things we tend to avoid, but probably need most of all. Get some training in these areas. Ask in forums. There are also plenty of free e-books available on all of these subjects.

6. Focus on one thing at a time. Many of us (me included) have made the mistake of trying to do everything at once. Remember, this is not a sprint; it’s a long haul business. Take your time and focus on learning one thing and applying it before you go on to the next.

7. Set yourself a budget and stick to it. It’s easy to overspend at first because you feel this is the only way you are going to make money, but you really don’t have to spend thousands. Many people have built successful businesses for an initial outlay of less than $100. As your income grows, you can always increase your budget.

8. Finally, and most importantly, relax and have fun! If you’re not enjoying yourself, it will seem so much harder to carry on. Forums are great resources for meeting other people and sharing successes and a few jokes. You are not alone; talk to other people and get some encouragement.

I believe that if everyone keeps to these eight points, they will eventually begin to see the kind of results that makes this business worth while. Be patient and you will be rewarded.

Are You Speaking the Language of Marketing?

Posted by | Posted in Networking | Posted on 25-08-2009

When talking to prospects or new clients, I always ask the question, “Can you give me the three minute version of your business?” That question can get someone talking for hours–literally–about their business, expertise and products.

No doubt your business is very exciting to you, or you wouldn’t be doing it. However, when I pose this question, I am listening for whether they are speaking the language of marketing or the language of their business. 99% of the time people are speaking the language of their business.

This is one of the biggest “missed opportunities” I see talented people make that cost them sales revenues. Let’s define each language so you begin to distinguish between the two, and know when to use the appropriate one. Think of one as speaking English, the other as speaking French.

The language of business speaks about what you do, how long you have been in business, what products and services you offer. Many times the more education, experience and expertise one has about their business, the tendency can be to “tell” people about their products and services.

For example, when I ask the question to speakers, authors, coaches and professionals, most start immediately telling me their expertise, education or teaching me their “content or products,” rather than discussing how their expertise can help someone. People hate to be told or sold. You can always tell when someone is speaking the language of business, because your eyes tend to glaze over after a few minutes.

The language of marketing speaks to what people want and need; what problem they have that needs solving. It is the language of what they desire at the deepest level of their values.

The language of marketing ASKS questions to discover what is important to the prospect and what they really need and want. People LOVE to talk about what is really important to them.

The language of marketing speaks to the concerns that keep us awake at night or diminish our quality of life, as well as our deepest aspirations. The language of marketing is the language of passion, love and purpose; the language of emotion. As we all know, people make decisions to buy based on EMOTION, and then they justify their decision with reason and logic.

This week notice your language. Is it speaking to the wants, needs and desires of your customers and prospects? Do you know what is most important to them?

Re-engineer these two languages in your business–so you can influence MORE people instantly. Nothing feels better than a prospect buying your service or product, saying, “This is exactly what I need.”

Here’s To Your Marketing Success!

Are You Looking for a “People’s” Business? Then Try Network Marketing

Posted by | Posted in Networking | Posted on 25-08-2009

If you’ve heard of “network marketing,” you might also have heard that it’s a “people’s business.” In effect, it can be quite similar to MLM marketing and franchising. Those who advocate it say that it is the ultimate “people’s business.” In short, there’s nothing else like it.

Of course, it’s true that those in network marketing will respond to this in the affirmative, where it may be that those not familiar with the industry or those with less than pleasant experiences of it might not agree with this idea at all. One unique thing about this kind of businesses that each individual distributor is his or her own boss, but is never employed “alone.” They’re always part of a larger network. The compensation models as well are designed so that every person in the business has support from someone in his or her up-line.

It’s true that you can make a fortune with this type of business and indeed, you may have done just so. However, this is not true of most people. Nevertheless, every individual distributor does have the same chance as anyone else to achieve this kind of success. Whether you succeed or fail in network marketing is not dictated by any of the traditional barriers to success in business, be it gender, background, race, age or politics. Instead, it’s entirely focused on results. Because of this, this is also something that could be called the “fairest” type of business in the world.

For many if not most, what makes their home based business most valuable is not in its financial return but in the lessons taught. They can truly be priceless and many have called the growth they have experienced life changing. Because it is continually challenging, anyone interested in it must leave his or her comfort zone and grow. In most cases, this will make you a better person.

Why is network marketing unique in this respect, then? Of course, every entrepreneur has to deal with challenges and most will also experience personal growth because of this. However, the significant difference is that most entrepreneurs are self-made and learned their expertise almost completely without any type of formal education. A family member, or a mentor could have taught them, or they may have simply learned by trial and error. It’s quite rare that you’ll find someone here who possesses a huge library of books or tapes on personal development. Most also don’t attend seminars or motivational training. Indeed, this can be true, but there’re also many seminars that teach you how to be successful better than a degree from a university can.

One benefit of network marketing is that an educational system is built right into the training systems of any good network marketing company. Network marketing, simply, places perhaps the most emphasis of any type of business on personal development. Even though many companies argue that they spend a lot of their budget on educational programs, in effect, what they do is really personnel development. And contrary to “personnel development,” network marketing is focused on “personal development,” or building people.

If you want to learn more about how to be successful in your life, and you don’t have a lot of money or a scholarship, then network marketing might just be what you need to teach you what you want to learn.

Are You Finding Gold Through Emails?

Posted by | Posted in Networking | Posted on 25-08-2009

If your business has a website you are already streets ahead of your competitors who do not have a web presence. But if you are not looking to the flipside of you web site i.e. email marketing, you are missing out on a precious opportunity. Email marketing presents a way for online businesses to drive qualified buyers to your site at the touch of a button and it costs nothing.

The bottom line is that you need to develop an email list. The way you do it is for anyone who comes tot your site to supply their email address in exchange for a free newsletter, membership subscription or a free report. That email address represents a permanent hot lead you can plug into anytime.

Once you have initiated your email list you can start emailing. The beauty of this is you can start your campaign with as few as ten email addresses. Just watch the list grow after that. Do not be tempted to spam people’s email inboxes. Rather use white-hat techniques to build up a qualified list of opt-in email recipients. This will pay huge dividends eventually.

When you send out mass emails here are some of the techniques you can use:
1. Announce Your Special Offers. This can be done weekly, fortnightly, monthly or whenever you fancy. You can create Halloween specials or specials on your birthday. You are limited only by your imagination.

2. Announce Special “Customer Only” Events. This is a great way to reward customers and to keep them on your mailing lists.

3. Make Contact With Your Hottest Leads. Use email to follow up with people you have spoken to but who are not yet customers. Offer to answer queries and make it known you are available to meet with them when it suits them.

4. Offer Electronic “Special Coupons”. This is a good way to turn customers into repeat customers. Let them know they can use the coupon next time they purchase in your online store or storefront. Make these coupons of limited duration to motivate quick action.

5. Start A Referral Chain. Encourage email recipients to forward your marketing emails to friends, family and colleagues. You will find your business growing exponentially. Make the forwarding request standard with every email.

6. Make Use Of Mass Email Software. Software makes it possible to distribute fully personalized email promotions to your entire list automatically at the click of a mouse.

7. Get Email Signups In Your Brick And Mortar Store. Make it possible for customers to sign up for your weekly newsletter in store. Ask for name, address, phone, email and/website. You want to know their website address because perhaps you can do “link exchanges with them to make your website stronger.

8. Accept That Email Marketing Is For Brick And Mortar Stores Too. Not only will your existing tangible store benefit but you might find your business expanding into the virtual marketplace which will benefit your bottom line immensely.

Are You “Minding” Your MLM Business

Posted by | Posted in Networking | Posted on 25-08-2009

The “art” of running a business requires some business basics, some common sense and more than ANYTHING, the right mental mindset. All too often, especially in Network Marketing, excited new distributors get bogged down in the “how-to’s” of Network Marketing. They focus on the right script, the right Email Campaign, the right answers to all of the questions, the right ad to run, etc.

Too little time is spent where it really counts – developing the competitive mental edge. How many times have you heard -

“What the mind can conceive, and believe, it can achieve! This is a well known phrase because it is true.” The secret to success in business, and more importantly in life, is to set your mind to something. Choose what it is that you want. Focus on that (instead of what you DON’T want) and believe it, and you WILL achieve it.

It’s really all about getting clear on what you want, and putting that thought at the forefront as often as possible and imagining yourself already in possession of what it is you want.

In his book, “The Science of Getting Rich” Wallace D. Wattles says -

“THOUGHT is the only power which can produce tangible riches from the Formless Substance. The stuff from which all things are made is a substance which thinks, and a thought of form in this substance produces the form.”

Every thought of form, held in thinking Substance, causes the creation of the form, but always, or at least generally, along lines of growth and action already established. The thought of a house of a certain construction, if it were impressed upon Formless Substance, might not cause the instant formation, of the house; but it would cause the turning of creative energies already working in trade and commerce into such channels as to result in the speedy building of the house.

And if there were no existing channels through which the creative energy could work, then the house would be formed directly from primal substance, without waiting for the slow processes of the organic and inorganic world. No thought of form can be impressed upon Original Substance without causing the creation of the form.

Man is a thinking center, and can originate thought. All the forms that man fashions with his hands must first exist in his thought; he cannot shape a thing until he has thought that thing.”

Another book that recently came back into circulation is called “The Master Key System” written by Charles F. Haanel. This book, originally published in the early 1900’s, offers a very clear, concise guide for harnessing the Power of Creative Thought.

The Master Key System is about success and the way to attain it. Google both of these book title and you can find them free online in e-book form.

The beauty of these principles is that they are congruent with every aspect of your life, and “success” is by your own definition. Whether you want to make a million dollars in your enterprise, or lose 20 pounds, get clear on your intent and watch the results unfold.

Sound too simple? Well, maybe, but who decided that attaining success and what you want in life has to involve hard work? Is that what you believe? If so, simply change your belief.

Here is an exercise that you can do right now, and can practice each day.

Close your eyes RIGHT now and think about what you would do with an extra $10,000 per month. Don’t allow any negative thoughts to creep in, like “I’ll never do that”, “It will never happen to me”, etc.

Just think about everything you would do with that income for the next 6 months. Smile and focus on how it feels to have that money. Now, hold that thought, and practice thinking and feeling that EXACT same thought and feeling for about 30 seconds, once every hour.

That’s only about 8 minutes a day. Surely you can find 8 minutes a day (in 30 second intervals) to focus pure, positive energy on what you REALLY, REALLY want. And, do this for sure, right before you go to sleep! Have fun!

If you will practice this simple technique, DAILY, for the next 30 days, you will see remarkable changes!

Are All Autoresponder Leads the Same?

Posted by | Posted in Networking | Posted on 25-08-2009

When choosing what kind of auto responder leads to purchase, keep in mind that the best price is not always the best option. You might pay twice as much or more for one type of lead over another, however if your ad pulls 3 or 4 times better with the more expensive lead it can be well worth the extra cost.

Typically, the cheaper quality the lead is, the less targeted they are and often times the less emails that get through and opened. This is why you have to buy considerably more of the lower quality leads to get the results you are looking for.

There are many schools of thought on what type of auto responder leads works best. Below is a quick overview of the different types available so that you can better gage for yourself what is right for you.

There are basically 3 main Types of Autoresponder Leads:

1) Double-Opt In Autoresponder leads. These are leads that fill out a form requesting information and have received an email to verify that they are indeed interested in learning more about whatever offer they had requested information on. After they have verified their interest, they then become a lead. These leads are typically more expensive because they are pre-screened for email delivery and interest.

2) Tier 1 Opt-In Business Opportunity AutoResponder Leads. These are considered premium autoresponder leads because they are generated on advertising networks that typically attract higher quality traffic and are qualified as business opportunity leads. These leads genuinely Opt-In to receive information about making money with their own business.

3) Tier 2 Bulk AutoResponder Leads. These are generally collected by various methods including free offers (fill out this form to win an IPOD), opt-out (where a person has applied for something or a free offer and there are several boxes that are pre-checked that they would like additional information. Whether they do want more info or if they do not notice the check boxes and uncheck the boxes, they become a lead), and various offers where they are agreeing to receive information from partner sites or other free offers not necessarily targeted to business opportunities.

Though technically these leads are opt-in leads, they are not necessarily targeted for an interest in a home based business. This is one of the most common leads sold as an opt-in auto responder lead because of the inexpensive prices.

Which type of lead is right for you? It really depends on what you are marketing, your budget and what kind of emailing capabilities you have. Test out different types of leads and you will quickly figure out what works best for you.
